1:1 Instructions Every Second Day

During the festival week, you will get to work one-on-one with one or more professors of your choice. This sort of experience can be just what you need to jump-start your development in musicality and to take your playing to the next level. 

To bring the festival week at the peak, the world’s top violinist and conductor, Maxim Vengerov, will attend the Festival. The Maestro will offer master classes to select violinists, preparing them before the Concerto Masterclass, which he will conduct himself the following day!

Open Master Class with Maxim Vengerov

To get coaching from Maestro Vengerov in the Open Master Class, you must first become an active participant and submit a video in your application form. This video can be one or more pieces of your choice totaling 15 minutes. Maestro Vengerov will evaluate the video himself.

Finally, the selected participants will have the rare opportunity of being coached by Maestro Vengerov, including playing in the Concerto Masterclass on the next day, where they will perform as a soloist. Don't worry - for all participants, this master class is free to visit.

Multiple Concerts

There will be multiple public concerts held during the festival week at various locations in the town of Zell am See which means performance opportunities for you!

The highlight of the International Music Festival Zell am See is the Concerto Masterclass which will take place on 14 September 2019, at the Ferry Porsche Congress Center. The chance to perform as soloist with the MAV Budapest Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Vengerov is yours.
